Certificate Programs

18 Credits

The Certificate Programs are currently offered by GRTA and are ideal for church leaders, including elders, deacons, pastors, and lay teachers, who desire to deepen their theological understanding without pursuing a formal academic degree. These programs are designed to be completed alongside active ministry and provide focused, confessionally Reformed theological training.

Areas of Emphasis:

Historical Theology

The Certificate in Historical Theology focuses on the historical development of Christian doctrine and confessional theology, tracing major theological movements from the early church to the modern era, with particular attention to Puritanism, early Evangelical theology, and the theological formation of Christianity in the Philippines, equipping students for informed and faithful ministry.

Pastoral Ministry

The Certificate in Pastoral Ministry equips pastors and church leaders with biblically grounded training in preaching, worship, pastoral care, church leadership, ethics, and mission for faithful service in Christ’s church.

Systematic Theology

The Certificate in Systematic Theology offers a comprehensive, confessionally Reformed study of Christian doctrine, examining the whole counsel of God in its biblical coherence and doctrinal formulation to equip students for faithful preaching, teaching, and the shepherding of God’s people.

(Students must choose one emphasis.)
